Dr. Jessica Warnecke, PT, DPT, OCS Founder of PACE Physical Therapy
Jessica grew up in Boise, ID and was involved in sports and recreational activities since the age of three. Over the years, she had numerous injuries and became well acquainted with the world of physical therapy. It was through her desire to remain active, love of learning about the human body, and will to help others lead a healthy lifestyle that inspired her to become a physical therapist.
Jessica started her private physical therapy practice to better assist those in search of individualized rehabilitation. After years working for busy outpatient clinics and her treatments being dictated by insurance companies, Jessica decided her patients deserved more!
With PACE PT, Jessica has the ability to enjoy one-on-one patient care for a full hour and work towards physical goals that get people back to where THEY want to be rather than what the insurance feels is “enough.” This individual session time allows treatments to be more effective and therapy to be more efficient, which assists patients in reaching recovery and resuming their prior activities in a shorter amount of time. She treats patients in her own private gym space in addition to offering services via live video conferencing or at a location convenient for the patient (home, work, etc). Jessica's main goal is to share the gift of movement and empower all those she works with to have the highest quality of living!
Jessica brings a wide variety of treatment interventions and utilizes an extremely individualized, holistic approach to thoroughly understand, examine, and assist her patients to full recovery. Jessica focuses her examinations on finding the root cause of dysfunction in order to heal the source rather than just treat the symptoms. She structures her treatment with a manual therapy emphasis to fully comprehend the physical body so that exercise can be appropriately prescribed to address deficits. She also incorporates the power of mindfulness and nutrition to ensure optimal well-being with all her patients.
Jessica graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology from Boise State University. She went on to get her Doctorate Degree from Idaho State University. After PT school , she completed an Orthopaedic Residency and is now a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. In addition, she is trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling and Concussion Rehabilitation. She has had success in treating a wide variety of patients including pre- and post-operative, chronic pain, neck and back dysfunction, sports injuries, pediatrics and post-partum.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys staying active by lifting weights, playing basketball and tennis, riding her bike around Town Lake, and hiking. She also loves trying original restaurants around Austin and traveling to new places.
