Secrets To Fix (And Prevent) Unnecessary Injury!

Injuries are common. Most of us have experienced an injury at some point in our lives and know how frustrating it can be to have to sit out of a sport, lose progress on our fitness journey, not be able to go to work, or not be able to participate in the activities that we want to do.
​

Did you know that:
  • ~65% of runners have at least one injury each year (Messier et al., 2018)
  • Young female athletes are at especially high risk for ACL and knee injury
  • Overuse injuries are more common in college vs. high school athletes (although quite common in both), and females more than males. The lower body is the most frequently injured (Roos et al., 2015).
  • 85% of recreational cyclists reported at least one overuse injury, with 36% requiring medical treatment (Wilber, Holland, Madison and Loy 1995)
  • 56% of CrossFit athletes surveyed said they were injured in the past year (Mehrab et al., 2017)
